The dinner was great i enjoyed rhat first cooked meal for a couple of weeks xx
I won’t show you a picture of mine. It looked like something the cat sicked up. It filled a hole though.

Dave, Well done for cooking a proper dinner xxx
Nigel, did you enjoy your dinner?
Thanks. I enjoyed it very nice
Nah, that last bit of rice was horrible, so I left that!
Peaches, what’s your secret to get a full nights sleep? I’d want that.
I’m on the same page as you with the plates, I’ve got rid of so many, I was looking at lovely cups for my new place today. Will buy them once I move though.
I’m actually quite excited at you having a dinner party, we will want a full report on how it goes. Get the tech guy to show you how to put pics on.
I think the weather has gone crazy, it’s usually us that gets the rain but it seems to be everywhere except the UK just now. My sister is in Tenerife and so far she has had 3 days of rain.
Have a lovely day xxx
Nigel and Dave, you men are showing us women up, I only ate half of mine, it wasn’t that nice but I did have a lemon yoghurt for afters. Chocolate will be out soon.

Thanks i have to be in a so so. Mood to cook xxx
I wanted to have fruit and cream Lizzy. But when I went to look there were no tins of fruit. Do the cherries on Bakewell Tarts count as one of my 5 a day?
Thank you all -You have all been amazing - you have such a strong bond between you all,I feel I am in safe hands. Today was not a good day. Tomorrow is a new day.
Debsi1 I do hope your son is ok - I read that you went to Stowe - I went there two weeks ago as it was both Nicks & my birthdays in the same week and Stowe was the last place we went walking, it is a lovely place. We did a lot of walking, we did a section of the Camino. I took a small hip flask and toasted him on his birthday with my wonderful brother ( who was his best friend they went to school together and had been best friends since they were 10) and my lovely sister in law. I joked that in 30 years they would prize open the man cave and it would be exactly as he left it. My brother did not look impressed
Nigel luckily Nick was very organised and it was one in one out so haven’t had anywhere near the amount of stuff you have had ( I am the total opposite - not quite a hoarder but I can’t throw things away as I might need it never In his garage though he has so many tools - two great big Snap On tool cabinets that are full, a compressor and shelves full of machanicky things. I don’t want to sell anything so I thought maybe a technical college ( do they still exist) may take the tools . The screen saver on my phone is a picture of Nick when we were in Honfleur, we were travelling around Normandy on his bike - a great holiday and lovely memories.
Lizzy i am so impressed with your journey I don’t even know where or when our buses run let alone how much they would cost - you are an adventurer for sure. I have learnt how to use power tools too - this new life certainly has it challenges.
Peaches thankyou for your lovely advice and your warm words, I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved husband. I hope you won’t mind but I had already adopted your rule of five, back at the start of this I couldn’t think straight and doing the list helped focus me, although I will admit that some days I carried it over to the next day. You give such good advice Peaches and care a lot about people, thankyou.
Dave your dinner looks scrummy and so does your Nigel. I am following the ladies and will be having carbonara. xx
