Loads of places thanks for the idea. Xxx
Blue ribbon for me. Xx
Tissue - TWO Snap On tools cabinets - I’m in love! My ‘man cave’ is completely inaccessible! (Oops, I don’t think I’ve mentioned my ‘workshop’ before!) and so was the front half of my garage until that day I locked myself out. I have now thrown away or recycled most of the things I might need some day! I love that TV advert where they need a particular shaped piece of wood to go under the bed leg and the older man knows exactly where to find the perfect piece. That is so like my dad and me!
You have just experienced ‘The Wisdom of Peaches’ as we all have before.
I might just have to do a Carbonara whilst I’m here!
Goodness Tissue - how much brighter are you than earlier today? Yippee! Onwards and upwards from tomorrow!
Much love.
Nigel xxxx
Nigel that made me smile, what is it about boys and their toys. You all love a gadget. I love that you can find anything random, I would have it but never be able to find it. I do feel better than earlier and that is down to you guys - yep tomorrow is a new day and if this weather continues it will also help.
Have a lovely evening all xx
Tissue, if I’m tired I always struggle. I hope you sleep well tonight then that will give you strength you need tomorrow. It’s hard to give up the life we had. We have the memories but we are not ready for the story to end. My husband was totally in love with motorbikes. His teenage years were spent causing mayhem, however in his later years he spent most of his time polishing and tinkering with it rather than riding it. Every time a motorbike went past his head popped up like a meerkat. Now every time a motorbike goes past my heart constricts. They say one day the memories will make us smile rather than cry. Just be glad you have those lovely memories.
Yep! You just can’t beat Snap On tools though - I could never afford them when I was young. But I am still using tools I bought back in 1974! Quality is the name of the game.
I’m Inspector Gadget and Mary was definitely Mrs Gadget!
If it’s a nice day tomorrow I’m going to go onto the balcony for the first time since August. That’s my challenge for the day! I have some metal butterflies, to put up that Mary bought, and some planters. Just need to buy some flowers for those. xxxx
I hope you get a good night tissue i always get teary when i’m tired been a good day for me had my daughter and family round and cooked a roast felt a bit sad as my husband loved a roast dinner he loved food . I haven’t eaten much since he died lost two stone i have no cloths that fit. Nigel your curry looked very good. Dave i’m glad you enjoyed your dinner xx
Thanks a lot. Xx
Debsi1 my husband was the same - when I met him he had five motorbikes and I soon knew the pecking order. He was motorbike mad, followed all the bike racing, both here and in Europe and right to the end we were planning road trips. If I was going to scatter his ashes I would take them to Imola and Monza they were his favourite circuits and we had been to them together. He would hear a bike and “guess” what it was from the exhaust note ( in truth he could of told me anything what do I know ) We have so much kit that I don’t really know what to do with - I have only ever ridden pillion with him and would never get on the back of a bike with anyone else, so unless I learn to ride it myself I will eventually sell his bike. Its a big adventure bike I couldn’t lift it off the side stand and really wouldn’t want to. No one will want me on the roads on a motorbike trust me Hope you have a good night and sleep well too xx
Just reading tissue i have just gone sad. I still have maria here she is staying here witn me .in can not spread them so she stays on cabinet xxx
I can’t either Dave, I wasn’t sure I wanted them at home but did in the end, they are on the side in my office . I just can’t bear to look at them but can’t bear to part with them so at the minute they are “out of site out of mind” They are something I will deal with another day. Please don’t let my comments make you sad xx
Not your comment that was nice if is just me very emotional at the moment xxxx
Nigel, oh it definitely would count in my books. Just like a strawberry tart would.
I wonder what time the workmen are coming tomorrow. To fix my cupboard xxxx
I just went to turn the electric blanket on. No wonder I was hot last night! I’d left one side on all night, and now all day. At least it will be warm tonight. Fire has just gone out, temperature’s dropping and that work today has made me tired - so time for the wooden hill.
Night night all, sleep well. xxxx
Nite nite sleep well cx
What do we know about cruse bereavement services any body know anything. Xxx
Night Nigel, be careful with the electric blanket, remember and switch it off. My hot water bottle is still hot when I empty it in the morning.
