Two weeks of widowhood.

Nightwish what you are feeling is completely normal at this stage. I have just had my partner’s first anniversary this week. He collapsed and died instantly whilst we were on holiday; up to that point he was a fit and healthy man. No amount of cpr or air ambulance assistance could save him. I tortured myself for months wondering if I’d missed something that week. I believe it’s very normal to feel enormous guilt in our situation. And you will be in shock at the moment.
I can’t say it gets better but it’s different. Of course you will grieve every single day but you will learn to deal with that in a way that you can cope.
Keep posting on here. It’s been a lifeline for me this last year. Lovely people who all understand our nightmare situation. Take care x

Good morning
I have lots planned for my day.
I have paid some bills, and already cleaned the top of my kitchen cabinets, which really needed doing.
I am going to clean the bathrooms, cut some wood, hang the washing out, have a walk around the garden, and when I have finished all my chores, I am going to do some painting.
So hopefully I will have followed Peaches do five things every day advice.
Have a good day. xx

Nightwish1 that must have been so traumatic for you, just remember your wife was already gone it was the machines keeping her alive and you will know your wife would not have wanted that, please don’t punish yourself, it is enough to be grieving without feeling that kind of guilt too, we all have thoughts of if we did this or that etc but in your case you really had no choice in that situation. Take care xxx
