Two weeks of widowhood.

Thanks Lizzy, my 66th I was nursing my husband at home he passed 6 days later, I think that’s what makes my birthdays so hard though that particular birthday he managed to say happy birthday and I will always remember the last time he said it xxx

Flints, that sounds like my kind of day, it’s the only way I coped with this grieving period. You feel you have achieved something .
The sun is shining here so I’m doing outside chores today.
Enjoy your day xxx

Good for you thats the way to go Dave, I see a huge difference in your outlook from your first days on here, its good to see, well done, proud of how far you have come xxx
We will always have down days and weepy days but in between we can do our best to live well without our other halves while keeping them in our hearts and thoughts xxx

Think I’m losing it, had Raffy’s vaccination booked for today at 11 15pm but because of Easter i thought it was Tuesday today i was hoovering in the kitchen when i happened to glance at the calendar and realised it is Wednesday today i had 15mins to get there if you cancel 48 hrs before appointment you still have to pay, i made it by the skin of my teeth. Think it hurt my bank balance more than Raffy

Whoop Whoop - done my tax return. Still have Davids to do though :weary: Thats for another day.

I have booked my first volunteer shift for 2 May - tick

I have got the software sorted to do my sons business accounts and a friend booked to come over Friday to help set it up - tick

Sun has come out - think I will go for a walk before it rains again, I’ve done enough today.

Barbara I keep forgetting things too. 3 times I went to book a shift this Friday before remembering that the man is collecting his eBay purchase. I am surprised my brain worked enough to do the tax return. If they pick up anything wrong I will blame my grief.

My 60th was in Covid Lockdown. We had booked first class train tickets to Edinburgh and a hotel. It took 4 years to actually finally get there (campervan rather then hotel) but I’m glad I did get to share that with David.
