Thankyou. Its hard. One minute life was all ok, then all has gone. I am struggling to adapt, and just managing house and garden but my heart isn’t 8n it. It was always done ‘for us’but now I haven’t a reason. Years of Lonliness is frightening. Take care
Hi @Katherine20
I am also on my own with my dog for company. It is hard to get used after being a couple for so long . I try to keep busy with exercise. And doing activities with the U3A
Volunteering is good. I found this forum to be a lifeline . And I hope you find the same as well .
Good morning Lucy I am sorry to hear that you are not feeling your usual self. Are you taking anything for sleep or anxiety? Some of these things may have side effects.
Wishing you all the best Tom

Hi Tom, no I don’t take anything, I sleep fine, just today I have no energy, but my face has been breaking out a lot lately, too much stress..
Hi @Lightmary68
Today hasn’t really been a good day for me
I don’t know if is the fact my family are going away. Are it is because it is coming up to the 12 month mark. There are a few trigger dates close together.
I hope your day gets better for you . It is sometimes hard to get motivated to anything. And thats when we have to push ourselves.
Thank you for you reply. I’ve no family of my own, and only distant relatives spread about who I never see or hear from. My husband died unexpectedly, and since I’ve been so lonely and lost. The thought of years like this is painful. I wish there was better support in the uk for us all.
Hi Lucy it can be caused by stress and you have problems to do exercise with the high temperatures you have so I don’t know what to tell you. It must be hard living in such heat. I hope you feel better soon. Thinking of you and sending hugs

Hi Sherbet, sorry to hear you’re not feeling it today, im the same, no energy., maybe its the combination of both for you, your family going on holiday, i would feel the same, cause we know that they’re not close by, and of course that dreadful date coming up, there’s one for me coming up too in September .

Dear Katherine,
losing one’s beloved soulmate is a horrible nightmare, tearing one’s life to shreds.
I could absolutely relate to the pain and despair you feel but it’s necessary for you to take good care of yourself.
Your beloved husband is looking out for you from heaven, wanting you to be kind to yourself and patiently awaiting your reunion in Heaven, which will be for eternity!
May God bless, guide, protect and comfort you!
To give you an idea about myself:
Kind regards - Joe
Oh Sherbet, so sorry, I wanna cry already
we’ll get through this.![]()
Dear Sherbet I can imagine how difficult it must be for you. You family is a life line and it’s nice just knowing they are close but we are all here for you too and hopefully it will go quickly. I’m sure Milo will be doubling his efforts to look after you as well. Thinking of you and sending hugs

Hi @Lightmary68
We will and come out the other end stronger.
Thank you
Dear Lucy
I think maybe it is stress. When I went to see the doctor about my thyroid tests I asked her about my rash, it was stress. It drove me mad for months then disappeared but of course came back with my neck problem. I didn’t use the cream she prescribed as it was a steroid, I now have a small fan that I point at my head at night. It helps with my breathing and also seems to calm the rash.
Having the grandchildren on your own is brave, I’ve not had them to stay since Stephen. Hopefully when I move I will x
Hi Joe, it’ll be a year for you since you lost your beautiful Fanny, i hope you are ok, ill be praying for you, God to give you strength and comfort during these difficult moments. GOD BLESS YOU JOE. sending you many hugs

I use my ventilator too. It’s hard to breathe sometimes, even though I keep my window open. Janka
Thank you Tom
You are all so kind on here
I am going to take Milo out for a walk hopefully the fresh air will help lift my mood.
Hi Helen, stress can most certainly cause a lot of health issues..im glad you found something to help you sleep, the fan sounds like a good idea…the grandkids will keep me busy, ..true when my husband was here we’d take them out somewhere, but we’ll see, take care
